This weekend (November 22 and 23) the Eastern Creek International Karting Raceway, near Blacktown, is to play host to the annual ‘Eastern Creek 12 Hour’ that is to be part of the 10th and final round of the Powered by Honda ProKart Australia New South Wales (NSW) Endurance Kart Championship.

Driver of the week

John Martin

John Martin was born in Gosford, N.S.W, Australia on the 8th July, and a love of anything that goes fast soon grew on the young star.

2001 was his break through year taking out the QLD State Resa Championship in karting, leading to a 2002 ICA Trulli Kart drive and in 2003 competed in the Ford Kart Stars series. It was in 2004 that he landed the factory Arrow drive and a heap more wins.

2005 and 2006 were spent in State and National Formula Ford Series respectively, taking out the National Series leading him to his UK Formula 3 drive in 2007 and 2008.

John once again gets our driver of the week for his stunning performance at the Goldcoast Indy 300, easily taking race wins after setting a blistering pace all weekend! Nice way to end your F3 career John!
